National Archives at College Park

Editorial Review

The architecture at Archives II at College Park suggests a set for "Star Wars" and really is the future as it is conceived today, with a prodigious storage capacity of 2 million cubic feet, almost four times what is available in the old building, and with state-of-the-art technology. Since its opening in 1993, Archives II has stored the files on matters such as foreign relations, commerce, fiscal policy, aerial photography, motion pictures and electronic data. Also on the shelves are documents relating to World War II and the White House.
