The Center for the Book’s "Books & Beyond" series presents a panel discussion on the new book, "Why Coolidge Matters: How Civility in Politics Can Bring a Nation Together," featuring, among others, Gov. James Douglas of Vermont, Milton G. Valera, president of the National Notary Association, and special guest Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, taking place in the Mumford Room. Co-sponsors of this event are the Calvin Coolidge Memorial Foundation and the National Notary Association, which published the book to honor the only U.S. president to be sworn in by a notary public (Coolidge’s father). The book is also part of the recently-launched "Books & Beyond Book Club" available on Facebook (www.facebook/booksandbeyond). For details, call 202-707-5221 or visit www.loc.gov/cfbook.
