On Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., Bethesda's Gallery B will host an opening reception for "DC Now," featuring the work of local artists Maya Freelon Asante, Billy Colbert, Rosemary Feit Covey, Laurel Hausler and Victoria Shaheen.

Organized by Washington-based Morton Fine Art and its offshoot, A Pop-Up Project, the exhibition (which went on view last Friday) will showcase a diverse range of media, including floor and ceiling installations, tissue-paper monoprints and fine art porcelain, along with more traditional paintings. The reception coincides with the Bethesda Art Walk, a free neighborhood gallery-crawl event in which galleries and studios in downtown Bethesda stay open late on the second Friday of the month.
