When Alfred Wertheimer snapped black-and-white photographs of Elvis Presley in 1956, the man who came to be known as the King was at the beginning of his long and storied career. Because he was allowed intimate access to the young rock and roll singer, Wertheimer captured up-close-and-personal portraits of the legend-to-be.

Forty prints are on view in this exhibition that celebrates the publication of "Elvis at 21: New York to Memphis," a book of photographs.
