Friday nights at Dupont Circle are always teaming. But along R Street and Connecticut Avenue, there's an added draw every first Friday of the month as area galleries appeal to new visitors. Possibly, it's a free offering of wine and snacks, but it's all part of a long-standing celebration of the area art scene.
Boasting their latest exhibitions, Dupont art galleries keep their doors open from 6 to 8 each first Friday of the month. The festive tradition continues to draw a mingling of artists, art aficionados and curiosity seekers. The diverse gathering counts many young professionals among its ardent fans, but older patrons are regulars as well.
