Washington has a seemingly insatiable appetite for after-hours museum parties. Each addition -- Asia After Dark at the Freer and Sackler galleries or Africa Underground at the Museum of African Art, for example -- seems to inevitably sell out. And here comes yet another opportunity to sip on a libation while taking a later-than-usual peek at art. But the Renwick, being a repository for all things crafty, is putting a twist on the typical soiree. In addition to craft beers (get it?) selected and introduced by ChurchKey’s beer director, Greg Engert, there will be opportunities for visitors to get their hands dirty and test their skills at putting together a crafty creation. The $15 admission, which attendees must pay at the door, includes crafting supplies and two drink tickets.
