The notion of remembrance -- embodied by the mental or emotional associations that objects carry -- is central to the art of Caryl Burtner and Taliaferro Logan. Both use an array of unorthodox materials -- dried flowers, say, in Burtner’s case; paint chips for Logan -- to evoke things that only can be felt, not seen.
On Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m., there will be an artist talk and closing reception at the 39th Street Gallery of the Gateway Arts Center for the two-person exhibition “Love, Loss & Lipstick.”
