With studios clustered around the Logan Circle and Dupont Circle neighborhoods, the artists of the Mid City Artists consortium host twice--yearly events, during which the group’s members invite visitors to stop by their studios for an informal chat and a peek at their latest work, outside the confines of a gallery. The group’s fall event takes place Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., featuring 20 talented artists, including painters Sondra Arkin and Scott Brooks; photographers Mark Parascandola and Colin Winterbottom; and glass artist Robert Wiener.
The group also will offer a twist to the traditional, self--guided studio crawl. Visitors can sign up at the MCA Web site for one of several small--group tours, led by such experts as artist Tom Drymon and collector Molly Ruppert.
