The theme of connection -- desired, thwarted, broken and repaired -- is explored in “Net Worked,” an exhibition of large paintings at the Athenaeum by three contemporary abstractionists. Using bold, sometimes jarring colors and angular geometric shapes, Timothy Horjus, Adam Lister and Steve Pearson investigate the reality (as well as the illusion) of togetherness and isolation in the modern world.
