The most prestigious area art prize just got a little more prestigious -- or at least more profitable -- for the winning artist. This year, the winner of the seventh annual Sondheim Artscape Prize will take home $30,000, instead of $25,000. On Saturday, the Baltimore Museum of Art opens “Sondheim Artscape Prize 2012 Finalists,” an exhibition showcasing the work of Lisa Dillin, Jon Duff, Hasan Elahi, Matthew Janson, John McNeil and Renee Stout.
The winner will be announced July 14 at the museum.
