Atmosphere: cozy. Service: excellent. Drinks: flowing. Food: mouth-watering. This is a great place to spend a cold winter night. Food selection is a bit upscale (a plus in my book), but the place is very casual. Live music on Friday nights, cover charge: none. Enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of Spring/Summer/Fall here, as well, when you sit out on the patio.

The pub fare rocks at this quaint English pub. Silver mugs owned by local clientele hang over the 4-seat bar. The best bread around. Try the bangers & mash or the sticky toffee pudding. Smashing!

You don’t get fried green tomatoes like this at your mamma’s house. I say domo arigato to the miso glazed salmon with wasabi mash. Add a perfect Cosmo served by a hottie boy bartender. Nice.

This is where kicked up meals reside. What is basil foam anyway? I don’t know but I love it. If it is a sun-setting meal out back or a cozy winter feast in the tap room, you’ll love it too.

Formerly owned by Robert Duvall, who also lives right down the road, this neighborhood joint is always hoppin’. It is one of the only places in town worth eating, so I highly suggest reservations.

A joint I have been meaning to try, even if it is in Lovettsville! Casual atmosphere, gourmet food…. my favorite combination. Going there on 1/17, I'll report back.

The only place worth eating in the ‘Burg, IMO. It’s pricey (radishes = $1/each), but tres magnifique. It is also tiny (3 to 4 tables per room), so get reservations and plan to linger for dessert.
