Date Spots in the District

These are some of my favorite places to spend time with a special someone.

1.

The food at this downtown restaurant is divine. Expect a hefty price tag, but it won't be quite as bad as some of the four-star establishments in town.

2.

The wait for a table can be long, but the dining room is pleasant and the sushi is good. My husband and I had a few of our early dates here.

3.

Show off your playful side over a game of pool or shuffleboard at this low-key subterranean bar.

4.

I always find something new to love in the gallery's East Wing.

5.

Sonoma was a wine bar before being a wine bar was cool in D.C. The upstairs is conducive to close conversation.

6.

In the summer and fall, the park is a perfect spot for a picnic. I like the hill just below the Calvert Street entrance to the parkway.
