Jim's Favorite Pubs

I like my beer, and these are my favorite places to go.

1.

This is basically an extended conference room for our office, but great selection of beers and a huge trivia night (if you like that sort of thing).

2.

Been going here since college, especially when Sean Fleming Band is in town. Great memories.

3.

In college, we decided we would try each of the 1,000 beers before graduation. We didn't make it. To the end of the list, that is. We did graduate.

4.

One of the area's best Irish pubs, including a great St. Pattie's Day bash. Has the additional benefit on being in the town where I live.

5.

Reopened not too long ago, the location is perfect for and Maryland/Virginia rendezvous and the burgers are great.

6.

Upscale Irish pub, so isn't as gritty as I prefer, but great location right on Dupont Circle.

7.

Great Belgian beer selection, and who doesn't like Belgian beer?

8.

The meanest servers in America, so mean that it has to be intentional. But a classic dive bar.

9.

Half-Aussie, half-Irish bar. Need I say more? Haven't been much since my AOL days, but used to go here all the time.

10.

If you want a little pool with your beer, this is a great place. Sort of hidden and usually not jammed.
