The Washington Post

Julie's DC Faves

My fave spots to wine, dine, and otherwise enjoy the nightlife in and around our nation's capital.

Delicious Sunday brunch and I highly recommend the lovely patio seating when the weather is suitable.

They brew fair-trade coffee, the atmosphere is very chill, it's only a 2 minute walk from my building, AND all of the proceeds go toward church missions....can't beat that! The downstairs event space is also very cool!

This is one of the first restaurants that I tried after moving to Capitol Hill, and it certainly met my approval! I ordered the Navrattan Korma, and my tastebuds were pleased with the result. A flavorful combination of spices contribute to a tasty vegetarian dish!

Fun Thursday happy hour! They're always giving away free bar tabs, which is definitely a reason to keep coming back!

Cute and trendy atmosphere with delicious cuisine! They have lots of enticing options on the menu, but I finally settled on the eggplant parmigiana with spinach fettuccine, and I was certainly not disappointed!

Soo yummy! My friends and I waited in line for appox. 15 minutes to get our hands on these locally famous treats and it was well worth the wait! I got the strawberry and lemon berry flavors and they were both so moist, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! The creamy icing was by far the best part!
