The Fleit Plan

I've lived in D.C. as a young, hip liberal for six years now -- here's a list of fun stuff!

So many delightful themed movie events (80s weeks, Spinal Tap on 11/11/11, etc.) in an absolutely beautiful theater. This place always reminds me why I love movies -- it really feels like an outing to go here for a movie. Also, bonus points for letting me film a scene there as a student and for hosting the 48 Hour Film Fest screening. Love it!

LOVE the weekend midnight cult movies (including bi-weekly Rocky Horror) -- definitely check it out!

Everyone likes it because it is awesome. Lots of taxodermy.

My fave Ethiopian place in the D.C. area -- fun platters to share, generous portions and super delicious.

Sushi happy hour is great, and the spicy crunchy tuna roll is probably the best single sushi roll I've had anywhere, ever.

Excellent brunch spot with super fun bloody mary menu. Also, the buffalo shrimp appetizer is weirdly addictive and delicious. The staff are always super friendly.

Excellent spot for weekend brunchin' -- service can be slow, but the different benedicts are rockin', and it has a charming French vibe. The salmon benedict makes my heart smile.
