For my money, the fiery hot wings here are among the best in town. The club sandwich and the mixed green salad have never steered me wrong, either. Other options on the CP menu can be hit or miss. But even when the wood-fired pizzas come out a bit on the soggy side, they're easy to share with a group.

Chef Jamie Stachowski is no longer at the Arlington sports bar, but the food is still drawing crowds -- even on a recent rainy Monday. Tuck into smoky white bean soup, a vat of succulent mussels and, of course, charcuterie.

I love Tonic, but the food and I have a bit of a love-hate thing going on. Grand Marnier French toast, love. Burger, not so much. The Mount Pleasant staple madeover its menu over the last year and while I'm still not sold on all the food offerings, I'm absolutely wild about the chorizo-and-shrimp quesadillas with cilantro-lime cream.

One look at Town Hall's menu and you know it's a cut above other bars with sports on TV. Brie, tuna tartare, quesadillas with andouille sausage, manchego cheese and roasted pepper beckon from the appetizer list. The salad options are also satisfying.
