Arlington County Fair

Editorial Review

As you'd expect for a jurisdiction entirely inside the Beltway, Arlington County can tout attractions far beyond the agricultural realm at its fair. (The petting zoo, courtesy of Leesburg Animal Park, doesn't count.) For the first year, the fair will screen outdoor movies: "Twilight" plays on Aug. 21, "WALL E" on Aug. 22. At 7 p.m. on Aug. 21, see 10 contestants vie to win a date with Ambre Lake, the blond, busty winner of VH1's "Rock of Love" reality show. Anyone 16 or older can enter the raffle (tickets are $5) to answer dating-game-style questions from Lake. The winner gets to "have lunch and go on some rides" with her the next day, says Denise Roller, event manager for Arlington County.
