Our Review

This is an Oktoberfest is a decidedly military slant. Visitors can tour the Marine Corps Barracks and the home of the Commandants, while chefs from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and the Coast Guard face off in an "Iron Chef"-style cooking contest with mystery ingredients.

There will be a beer garden with fare from local restaurants, antique car show, a silent auction and a petting zoo and other activities for kids. The Redskins Cheerleaders will perform to open the day. Vendors selling crafts, food and gifts line up along Eighth Street SE, between the 400 and 700 block.
