Ringling Brothers has been in violation of the Animal Welfare Act & has been cited 101 times in the last ten years by the USDA. I know you might think animal activists are crazy fanatics that can't sit back and enjoy a little entertainment..but what do you really see at the circus? Separated from his mother, a neglected and severely ill baby elephant bleeding from the rectum is forced to perform, he died the night of the show. (It happened at a Ringling Bros. show Jan. 24, 1998) You may also see the elephants UP CLOSE, dangerously close. Ringling Bros have been cited for "failure to provide a safety barrier between elephants and the public." If you have follwoed any of the latest news on Ringling Brothers you should be aware how these beautiful crautres are forced to do what cannot be described as "fun" for any humane thinking person. Animals are not for amusement but thinking, hurting, beings.
