All you need to make a movie, French director Jean-Luc Godard once said, "is a girl and a gun." Directors Gustav Deutsch and Hanna Schimek spent four years looking through movies from the 1890s to the 1940s to make this experimental montage film, which jump cuts between clips of men, women, love, sex and violence from the earliest days of the movie industry.
