The area's scariest walk in the woods, in Montgomery County, is a seasonal favorite.

Yes, you should probably buy your ticket online, you should bring cash, and if you wait until 9pm, you are probably going to be waiting a while. They warn you about all this on the Web site. But if you go early, it's a great show, a great haunted trail, and the waiting area is tons of fun with activities and food.
Really sucked. Long wait. Crushed by others in line. Sucked!
Take Cash!!! Or stand in line for an hour before you realize they ONLY TAKE CASH!
Markoff's Haunter Forest is a fantastic October event. I live in Arlington and the drive there took less than an hour. They have a number wait system that frees you from a wait in a line. There are fun events to do while waiting, the Haunted Bus was great. There are also concessions. When our number was called, they allowed myself and two of my friends to enter a group of three, not force us into a bigger group. The trail is dark and winding and there are fantastic actors and sets. It was well worth $25. I can't say that about too many things these days.
Always fun, always scary, with lots to do while you wait. Definitely worth the trip. So fun!
