Dutch artist Jeroen Eisinga’s “Springtime,” a short video on view at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, is definitely worth seeing, if you can stomach watching a man allow his head and chest to be swarmed by hundreds of thousands of live bees.
Yes, Eisinga lived through the filming but not without multiple stings and a trip to the hospital.
On Wednesday at 7 p.m., Eisinga will visit the museum for a free “Meet the Artist” talk about his squirm-inducing work.
