Visitors can sample wines from award-winning Virginia wineries while enjoying early autumn and live blues music on the east lawn at Mount Vernon overlooking the Potomac River. The estate will be open for an evening tour that will include a peek at the rarely opened cellar vaults where George Washington kept his wine. Fruit and cheese boxes for two are available for advance purchase of $24.
