What could be better than taking your family on a hike through a picturesque park as the leaves begin to turn? Going on a two-mile hike hosted by the National Wildlife Federation that includes five hands-on stations to help children learn about nature. Children can try their hand at replicating bird songs, creating solar prints and making bug boxes. There will also be a display by the Department of Natural Resources' Scales and Tales. Best for age 10 and younger.
