To commemorate the Navy's 233rd birthday, the Navy Yard hosts an open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with free displays and presentations. The U.S. Navy Museum, the Cold War Museum and the USS Barry will be open to visitors. The 11 a.m. opening ceremony features the Navy drill team, birthday cake and a 21-gun salute.

At the Navy Memorial, there will be displays and exhibits open all day, and performances by Naval bands, including the Commodores jazz ensemble and the Harmony Heritage Singers, and U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard Drill Team.

Busses will run from the Navy Memorial to the Navy Yard via the Eastern Market and Navy Yard Metro stations all day.

Free parking is available at the Navy Yard, and a valid picture ID is required for admission.
