From mental illness to substance abuse, health concerns frequently take a leading role in many of Hollywood's biggest films. The National Institutes of Health presents a free screening series that will feature guest speakers from the medical profession every Wednesday to enlighten the underpinnings of silver screen suffering. The first screening presents "Crazy Heart," with a discussion on the topic of alcoholism from the NIH's Judith Arroyo, at 7 p.m. Subsequent screenings include "The Soloist" (schizophrenia, July 13), "The King's Speech" (stuttering, July 20) and "A Single Man" (suicide prevention, Aug. 3).
