The Palisades July 4th Parade is an outstanding, patriotic, family event! Well oraganized, timely, kid and pet friendly, the parade and following picnic is a little slice of all that is wonderful in this great city as well as throughout America.
Unquestionably, this is an annual reminder that Washington D.C. is indeed a "home-town" to many. This local parade starts less than 3 miles from the White House and it has everything Norman Rockwell could envision: fire trucks, boy scouts, kids on bikes, librarians, floats, horses and free 4th of July fare at the end.
