Maryland's Polar Bear Plunge annually attracts thousands of warm-blooded thrill-seekers to shed their parkas and ski pants and sprint into the Chesapeake Bay's chilly (to put it mildly) waters. If you don't see the upside to that, there's no point in reading any further. But if that sounds like a challenge you're up for, plan to raise at least $50 for Special Olympics Maryland and then start training for the 8 a.m. plunge. How?
