Stop by the National Portrait Gallery over the three--day weekend for a double dose of MLK--themed programming. In addition to the exhibition “One Life: Martin Luther King Jr.,” the museum is offering daily, family--oriented storytelling and art--making activities.

Part of the ongoing “Portrait Story Days” series, this weekend’s drop--in sessions will feature tales about the late civil rights activist ---- whose birthday is observed Monday ---- as well as an opportunity to create art inspired by his life. The free sessions take place Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and Monday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the museum’s first--floor Education Center, Room E151.
