Our Review

The museum pays tribute to Maryland’s African American heritage. There are three permanent galleries: “Things Hold Lines Connect” on how slavery in Maryland affected family ties; “Building Maryland, Building America,” about how oppression contributed, in a complicated way, to the future of the United States, and “The Strength of the Mind” on music, dance, art and language.
