Artist Anne Truitt was more than just a painter and sculptor; she was also a professor who inspired such creative minds as Tim Gunn, best known for his role on the television show "Project Runway." On Thursday the Hirshhorn opens "Anne Truitt: Perception and Reflection," an exhibit of works spanning her 50-year career. As part of Thursday's opening, Gunn, artist Martin Puryear, filmmaker Jem Cohen, photographer John Gossage and associate curator Kristen Hilemanall will discuss Truitt at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the talk will be distributed on a first-come basis starting at 5:45 p.m. in the lobby.
