The event, which is part of the National Cherry Blossom festival, features three stages with live music and family-friendly water-related activities. Fireworks begin at 8:30.
The title says it all ... been there last year, it's crowded, hard to find a legal parking space, but worth it. Kids are having a ball, especially if under ten. And there is something magnificent about fireworks in DC! Maybe the kid in me is speaking out ... again, as my mother would, no doubt, attest. GO! Take your kids, have fun, and hug them all at dusk, as the fireworks break out overhead, greatful for the freedoms we have.
