Summer Jam

Editorial Review

When you walk out onto the roof of Eden (the nightclub formerly known as Eyebar), you forget you're in the middle of downtown. It's an oasis among the office blocks, with plants along the walls and a slat-wood floor underfoot. The lounge's new owners are making use of their outdoor space, with two great weekly parties.

On Thursdays, the weekly Summer Jam takes a nightclub party vibe and moves it outside. A see-and-be-seen crowd gets down under the stars to a DJ's house music mix while saxophonist Natty Rico wails away and percussionists play bongos over the beat. Yes, there are tables for bottle service, but most people are content to dance wherever they can find space, and the bartenders serve frozen cocktails.
