An outdoor beer garden across the street from Nationals Park offers games and live music from within a complex created out of shipping containers.
Just like several others I'd say that conceptually The Fairgrounds are a fine idea, but...It CANNOT be more expensive than ballpark prices. For $6 you can get a craft brew selection at many DC bars. I wish they would get this right because they're the only game in town, (pardon the pun)in the stadium area.
Fairgrounds offers a much needed spot for happy hour and great food by the Nats Stadium. I love the different food trucks and the laid back and fun atmosphere at The Bullpen. They offer a great outdoor space, affordable drinks, live music, delicious food, fun games (love cornhole) and casual picnic table seating. It's our favorite spot for grabbing drinks before and after Nats games. Incredibly easy to get to (right across from the Navy Yard metro) and they can always accommodate our group.
