Step inside a little bit of history in this estate that's been refurbished for formal wine tastings. Upon arrival guests, are offered a sumptuous menu to choose from tastings of Virginia wines, Barrel Oak's higher-end wines, or wholly European offerings. Each wine is paired with small bites such as sopressata with dried fig, or a tart brimming with mango salsa. Reservations are required for the weekend tastings, and guests can choose their own price range ($25 to $75 a person, through Oct. 28).
