The Marquise of O

Please note: This event has already occurred.
The National Gallery of Art continues a series on contemporary filmmaker Eric Rohmer, who died last year. Rohmer's 1976 period piece, "The Marquise of O" is an adaptation of a novella by German writer Heinrich von Kleist, about an Italian governor's daughter who becomes inexplicably pregnant -- and thus is shunned by her family -- amidst the tumult of the Napoleonic wars.
