A synagogue you can love

Tikvat Israel has a definite "personality." The 3 pillars of the shul strike me as being social action/responsibility, lifelong learning, and the arts. Some congregants learn to read from the Torah, lead a service, give a D'var Torah, etc. Others just sit in services - or attend other events. It is very unpretentious. If you come to a service, you won't feel like you're part of a fashion competition. No one takes attendance. You don't have to "get involved," but you'll want to be. Nice location! - nestled between Rockville HS and the Rock Creek Trail. If you have young children, the Early Childhood Center is outstanding. To see if Tikvat Israel is the right place for you, go visit or go online to TikvatIsrael.org.
