U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting

Editorial Review

An 88-foot-tall Engelmann spruce from the state of Washington will have its moment of fame when Speaker of the House John Boehner flips the switch at the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. Unlike the White House Christmas Tree lighting (Dec. 6 on the Ellipse), no tickets are required. The Capitol tree will be lit from dusk to 11 p.m. through Jan. 1.
