A parade celebrating Washington's 281st Birthday will march from Gibbon and S. Fairfax Streets to Wilkes and S. Royal Streets. It feature bands, floats, wagons, horses, historic reenactment units, youth groups, and more. Throughout the day, several historic sites in Alexandria will be open to the public, including Gadsby's Tavern Museum, Friendship Firehouse Museum, Old Presbyterian Meeting House, the Lyceum, Carlyle House, Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum and Christ Church.
