The preserve is open to the public every third Saturday and Sunday of the month, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Birding and other guided nature walks are held throughout the year.
A primitive campground is available to organized groups such as scout troops by permit. Campers must hike in and follow "Leave No Trace" guidelines. There are no toilets or water available and cooking must be done on stoves only. Camping fees are $2 per person per night with a minimum fee of $15 per night.
