U.S. National Soccer Team vs. Germany

It's hard to believe that by the time the U.S. Men's National Team takes the field against Germany, it'll be just more than a year from the beginning of the 2014 World Cup. The squad -- led by Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley and a player in Landon Donovan who is currently on a self-imposed hiatus from the sport -- drew nearly 70,000 fans to last year's friendly against Brazil at FedEx Field, so filling soccer-friendly RFK Stadium for this match against an elite German team should make for a raucous afternoon.

    Run or Dye 5K

Most road races leave participants drenched in sweat. The inaugural 5K race Run or Dye will blanket runners with plumes of vibrant cobalt blue, ochre and magenta powdered dye, in what's best described as a sporting event crossed with the Hindu festival of colors, Holi. Friends and race crews will toss handfuls of (completely washable, non-toxic) color onto the course at intervals around RFK Stadium, until everyone crossing the finish line looks a little like a Jackson Pollock painting.
