Planning ahead, I bought tickets for Winter's Tale 3 days in advance via Fandango because that's what my lady wanted to see on Valentines Day. We show up to our movie and the showing has been cancelled. No attempt was made to contact me about the issue. The guy at the service counter told me that he could give me passes to a future movie. I told him that I wanted my money back. I was told that would take extra steps and he couldn't do it. A manager had to step in and refund the tickets. He did offer free tickets to another movie, but the whole thing put a damper on the evening. I cannot believe that they were not able to contact people who bought tickets in advance to let them know of a change.
