We have been going to the Rio since the beginning even though it is not most close to home because it has always been clean, safe, comfortable, wide variety of movie selection even showing some indies at times, though costs have risen, they are in line w/ others & there is the beautiful walkway, shopping, dining, etc. just feet away. Parking is FREE & safe. (ASIDE: I DON'T KNOW WHY MY HOME DELIVERED WPOST DOES NOT CARRY THE MOVIE TIMES FOR ANY AMC MOVIES ANY LONGER BUT IT REALLY TICKS ME OFF). & guy complaining about the sound should probably use a listening device to aid him/her.
The Rio is in a beautiful setting. I have gone to this movie theater a lot. Problem -- the majority of the time, the surround sound doesn't work. I have complained several times, and sometimes they fix the problem. Other times, they give me a refund. Other times, I am ignored. But take it from me -- in a packed house watching The Hangover this weekend -- the surround sound wasn't working. I complained. They never fixed it. People were laughing so hard it was hard to hear what was being said in the film at certain times. I like to get what I pay for -- an awesome picture and sound experience. The Rio falls tremendously short. It's just that most people don't seem to notice. Shame on the Rio for ripping us off. It happens ALL THE TIME!
