The AMC Mazza Gallerie 7 (formerly General Cinema, which has joined the AMC chain) doesn't have the biggest screen or largest theater or greatest number of auditoriums in Washington. But it's the only venue with a special Club Cinema with leather seats and a full-service bar (only patrons 21 and older are admitted to evening shows, unless otherwise indicated).

All seven theaters have THX certification for top-quality sound.

The amenities come with a price. An adult ticket is $9.50. You'll have to dish out $12.50 to enter the Club Cinema on weekend evenings ($8 for seniors). During the week, tickets for the Club Cinema are priced the same as regular tickets.

$11 parking to see a movie!

I took my wife and daughter to have lunch and see a 2:15 movie at the Mall. I had the parking ticket stamped at the theater. I was stunned on departing to be charged $11.00. I pay $5.00 to park near the Landmark Theater in Bethesda. I pay $4.00 for four hours of parking in Silver Spring. Even BWI only charges me $10 to park for 24 hours. I shall never again visit the Mazza Gallerie and I shall encourage everyone I know to take their business elsewhere.
