This is one of the largest all-stadium-seating venue in the region with 24 auditoriums, four of which have 60-foot screens and seat 500.
The Muvico chain incorporates themes into its theaters, and the Egyptian motif includes 45-foot-high, sand-colored columns with hieroglyphics at the entrance, murals depicting gods and pharaohs on the walls, statues and a marble floor with a glass-tile Nile River.
The high-back lumbar-supported seats slightly rock and the armrests retract. Concession stand trays fit into the drink holders to create a small table.
What makes this venue unique to the area is the children's playroom. For the price of an adult ticket, a child (age 3 to 8) is supervised while parents attend a film. The room has a big-screen TV that plays G-rated movies, a computer zone, reading corner, arts and crafts space, science area and other activities. Parents can be contacted with a silent beeper. The room allows 20 children. Call 443-755-8990 to make a reservation.
The concession stand features traditional choices along with made-to-order quesadillas, popcorn shrimp and pizza. A coffee bar offers gourmet coffees as well as frozen coffee drinks.
You can also bypass the hassle of finding a parking space in the mall's lot by paying $4 for valet parking.
