Adjacent to the Fairfax County Government Center, this multiplex offers leather reclining chairs and "express" concession service in certain theaters.

I took my wife to watch a movie this past weekend. For two of us, the tickets costed $30. This is down right ridiculous and malpractice. We were told that stadium style seating was called Director's Seating but later found we had no option to see the movie in a Non-Director's Seating room. Folks watch out for this trap. No wonder there were only 6 to 10 people in entire room. We were the big suckers.
I will address the folks who complain about price. If anyone goes to the theater anymore and expects low prices just stay home and rent. Prices are high and food isn't cheap. They make their money on consessions folks. That's the way it has been for years. They do offer military discounts on tickets however. Director's Hall is great because you can plan early where you want to sit. This prevents you from needing to show up early. There is always someone there to take your order. They serve Pepsi products. National Amusements are the only company who does this. The rest serve coke. It's clean, well kept, friendly, and high quality. Sometimes you park far out. Just walk and stop crying. Other people watch movies too.
Well, the title should give you a clue. First problem is the horrendous parking. There is loads of parking, but you can expect to walk a pretty long way to get to the building. Then you get in and find a rather impressive building, although it's all about selling you stuff. On the left, you pay for very expensive tickets, on the right you pay for expensive food, like hotdogs and french fries. In front is the main concession and you'll pay as much or more for 2 drinks and popcorn as you did for the tix. You can pay to eat in the expensive little restaurant too. They just charge for everything! But, when i was injured inside a theatre, I found out they're not even responsible and guess what? They don't pay! Be very careful.
The restaurant is an undiscovered jewel. The restaurant has great food and good prices. Very surprising for a theater where you would normally expect overpriced popcorn and hotdogs. We actually have gone there just for the food. Unfortunately the menu was cut back recently (lost the steak, stuffed chicken) but what remains is still good. In addtion, the bartenders are nice and serve well made drinks at decent prices.
While the lobby is attractive and the staff is courteous, plus there is a variety of items from which to select on the overpriced concession menu, the ticket price for the Director's House theater is insane! I went on a Tuesday evening and paid $13.00 to see "Slumdog Millionaire", sure I got the reserved seating (whatever), but no one escorted me to my seat. offered me a hot hand towel, or took my order for popcorn or drinks! The seats are leather...but very uncomfortable! THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF!
The "regular" price at this theater is higher than any other theater in Fairfax County. They also have a "Director's Hall" that charges an even higher premium. I went in there by accident because I didn't know the difference. It was nice that the employees came to greet us and gave us heated hand towels. Ok, but I really didn't need to pay extra for that. I have since learned to stay away from DH. Other than that, the seats in the regular auditoriums are stadium seats and the handles pull up. So it is indeed nicer than other theaters. One bad thing is that sometimes they don't offer certain movies because they don't compete with another theater 3 miles away. The parking is a serious issue because this shopping center is always too crowded.
