Editorial Review

This Montgomery County venue opened in December 1998 and is one of the smaller state-of-the-art theaters to come to this region. But it still has 10 screens with all stadium-seating and digital sound. The two largest theaters have about 400 seats and large curved screens. Parking is free at the Market Square shopping center. In 2003, the theater added a drafthouse area, where alcoholic beverages are served. During daytime hours, wine and beer must remain in the lounge area, where patrons can relax on sofas and chairs. During evening "drafthouse" screenings in the theaters adjacent to the lounge, wine and beer is permitted.

A bit aged but my wife and I love the Kentlands Stadium 10. Parking is easier than Rio; it is less crowded than Germantown or Rockville; and then there is the good fresh hot buttered popcorn. We have seen at least one movie a week there for the past two years and plan to continue that practice for the foreseeable future. Perfect no; but it serves the purpose of seeing new movies in a stadium seating environment. We also like the option of having a beer or a glass of wine while watching a flick in theaters 9 or 10. In fact we are headed there tonight. Smell the popcorn!
