When constructing its stadium-seating theater in Rockville, Regal decided to go down instead of up. The Rockville Town Center's lobby is at street level but its 13 theaters are underground. After patrons purchase their tickets, they take an escalator or elevator downstairs. The central area consists of a concession stand, a cafe and game room. Theaters 1-6 are to the left of the lobby; theaters 7-13 are to the right. The houses range in size from about 100 seats to 400 seats. The theater is about a block from the Rockville Metro stop. Parking may be a problem on crowded evenings. A small lot in front of the theater validates for moviegoers. There's a second lot is across the street but it does not validate.
