Brave is a rousing adventure, with an old-fashioned, tender story at its heart. The visuals are gorgeous, and the Celtic music is wonderful. While it is not the most clever, charming, or orginial movie in the Pixar canon (see Toy Story, Nemo, Monsters, Inc., etc.), it is well worth seeing and quite satisfying in its own right.
As opposed to a "male heroine?"
