I have not yet seen Not Fade Away but I sure do intend to. I wanted to comment on O'Sullivans review of this film. In it he states that he thought that young musicians who stand in front of a music store drooling only happened in the movies. Dead wrong there. I was one of those kids who drooled in front of many music stores saving every penny for an amp or a guitar or a bass or microphone. We exist and have existed since I have been on this planet. Just as you may have loved literature growing up; we musician types can't quite think of anything else but music. Especially in our teenage years. Great review though and you have made me want to see this film even more after reading
