In this fifth installment into the Resident Evil franchise, you will have to look, try, and look some more if you're hoping to find a disappointing feature. From start to finish, the film delivers. In the very dramatic and epic opening sequence, which is played backwards then forwards afterwards, we find that Paul W.S. Anderson does something that has become almost extinct in Hollywood these days - picking up a movie at the exact moment the previous film left off. As in the exact moment. Which is fantastic for continuity and leaves little to no questions to be answered by the audience. For veteran and new fans alike, this movie is simply ... amazing. if you're disappointed, then you're being over critical. Period.
